What are people saying about EO?

Thanks again for an awsome hunt

MESSAGE

I hunted with Ryan at Everglades Outdoors the later part of the first week of 2023 Spring Gobbler Season. If you want an Osceola turkey, or just like hunting turkeys you need to hunt with Ryan. He has a turkey population that is managed for success. Not only does he have a lot of turkeys; Ryan knows his birds. He scouts nonstop and has them patterned extremely well. For example, on my first sit he told me what direction they would come from, the time they would be coming, and where they were heading. Ryan was right on the money, just no shot. My second and successful sit at a different spot was no different. Ryan has a lot of other animals and plant life to view/ hunt as well. I saw hogs (big ones), alligators, deer, and all kinds of birds. I picked oranges off wild orange and grapefruit trees. Being from the Northeast & Midwest the landscape was beautiful, and different than anything I have ever hunted. While touring the ranch I saw orange groves, cattle pastures, canals, swamps, tomato, and pepper fields. These were quite diverse and interesting habitats. The warm sunny weather in early March was also awesome. Whether you are hunting with a camera, bow, or firearm I highly recommend Ryan and Everglades Outdoors.

Sincerely,

A real Florida hunt

MESSAGE

This was my first serious turkey hunt and it could not have come out any better!

Ryan and the property at Everglades Outdoors are the best around. I have used other outfitters in the past and while enjoyable, fall way short of my experience at EO. Firstly, prior to ever sitting in a blind Ryan made us feel right at home. We chatted about expectations, our experience and the land itself. Some of the guides I have used in the past haven’t been “people persons”, the opposite is true for Ryan. Super accommodating and down to earth, the type of guy you want to spend a few hours in a blind with.

Secondly, the property is incredible. It’s what Florida actually is: palmetto prairies, cypress hammocks, pines and agriculture like orange groves. Can you think of a more Florida thing to do than hunt alligators, hogs, and turkeys while smelling orange blossoms?

Ryan knows his birds too, he scouts before, during, and after the season to pattern the flocks and have a grip on what birds will be anywhere on the property. We upped the excitement with the weather change that happened and ended up making a stalk on a tom that was “henned up” on the other side of the field. It’s true that you only get one first bird and for my first bird to be taken after a stalk and belly crawl across a canal and levy makes it even more memorable. It was an exceptional bird that came with a campfire tale worthy hunt, I can’t wait to go back and hunt again soon.

I have hunted all over the country as well as other parts of the world and it's always fun to see consevasionists with a passion for land stewardship and animal welfare like Ryan and the whole Everglades Outfit. The land is remarkably well managed and accommodates a host of fantastic wildlife. Ryan takes such a passion in his hunters' experience, it's world class. Coming from Texas, I often see private land mismanaged or that doesn't provide a sporting hunt, but what he has done here and how he runs it is truly amazing. It is well suited for hunters of all experience levels and ages. Ryan is professional, highly communicative, and is extremely passionate about his hunters enjoying the land and all manners of game. He was extremely accommodating in helping me coordinate a very specific hunt, with very tight time constraints. Every bit of the experience was in line with the recommendations from SCI. I will definitely be back with my wife, and will likely have a standing hunt annually with him.
